It has been two Weeks since our house burned down

It has been two Weeks since our house burned down. In a way it seems like yesterday but then it seems a lot longer. Strange how that is. There have been ups and downs during these weeks. Dealing with going through the house and trying to find the treasures in the Ashes it has been tiring and emotional. We have also become aware of how generous and caring people can be. We are blessed and God has been Good!

We found treasures today!

We found treasures today! Mainly the afghan my great grandmother made me when I was a little girl! It was hardly even wet!!!  I still remember sitting on her lap while she was making it and her asking me if I liked the colors and I said yes and she said good cause it's for you!

We also found the stockings she made us too....untouched!!!

 God is good.

One Week

It's been exactly one week since I got the call from Mom...down to the minute. Still so thankful they are ok.

I had the best time shopping with my girls

I had the best time shopping with my girls,Kelly and Stacy, Cindy, Susan and Leslie. We went to shop for Christmas clothes. Since I don't have anything that doesn't smell like smoke I needed to buy new stuff. Boy what a support system!!!! I enjoyed being with them. They treated me like a queen. ;) - Sharon

Surreal

Standing in my parents house today and looking around... It still felt surreal. God's grace abounds still. - Stacy

Thanks to all of you for your encouraging words and love. We are so thankful to be alive and am working hard to stay positive. It will get better after the clean up. Next Day Finds...

It has been amazing the things we have found. So many precious things that God seems to have protected. Each new thing we find is precious because we really thought all would be lost. We just knew that their lives had been protected and saved and that was what really mattered. These treasures in the ashes are an extra blessing from God.

My parents house burned down last night.

My parents house burned down last night. They are safe and my brother is safe. Thank God for His protection and guidance that allowed my mom to notice the fire in time for them to get out alive! A few more minutes would have changed everything. Please keep my family in your prayers and we go thru this hard recovery and rebuilding process. They have lived in this house my whole life. It has always been... and will be again...a place full of Love and a home where anyone is welcomed. I am overwhelmed with thankfulness that my family is safe! I LOVE YOU!!! -Stacy
